Welcome to Sierra's Bees
At Sierra's Bees we work closely with a wide variety of diverse organizations and private clients to help provide and manage honey bee hives across South Florida.
I have been keeping bees on Golf Courses and at Country Clubs for over 9 years and my clients include PGA National, Broken Sound Club, Mirasol, Everglades Club, Palm Beach Par 3, North Palm Country Club, Hobe Sound Golf Club, BallenIsles, Orchid Island, Hawk's Nest, Quail Valley, Boca Grove, Admiral’s Cove, Trump National Jupiter, High Ridge, Country Club of Florida, Frenchman’s Reserve, and Gulf Stream Golf Club. I welcome your questions and am happy to talk with you about my program and how you can take part, whether it be interacting with the program or just enjoying the sweet honey reward.
Country Clubs are magical places where there is a huge visual display of flowering trees and plants for members. This provides an unparalleled buffet for honey bees and brings that visual display full circle for members.
We have found that the natural diversity of flora and fauna on Golf Courses lends itself as the perfect habitat to raise honey bees. Our honey bee program is also a wonderful compliment to your Audubon Certification.
Sierra's Bees has been a valuable pollination source for California almonds and Maine blueberries. We also serve small farms locally to help with fruit tree pollination.
At Sierra's Bees, we love helping you realize your beekeeping potential. Whether you want to be involved in learning how to take care of the bees or just want to share in the sweet honey reward, we've got you covered.
You may be familiar with the ninety-nine holes of championship golf on six courses, including the famed Champion course, but as our newest beekeeping partner, we like to think that the bees are what makes PGA stand out as the only resort in Palm Beach County that's hosts their own honey bee hives.
The Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton was the first Country Club to host honey bee hives. With a passion for sustainability, the Broken Sound Club has 20 bee hives on the Old Course and New Course and has been keeping bees since 2014.
"In an ongoing effort to advance our sustainable resource management practices, we are proud to announce that Mirasol is now home to 20 beehives, and busy honeybees are hard at work producing our own brand of honey!"
The esteemed "best Par 3 in the U.S." is home to 4 honey bee colonies and produces some of the most delicious mangrove and sea grape honey. The Palm Beach Par 3 course was the first public course in Palm Beach County to host honey bee hives.
The North Palm Beach Country Club is publicly owned by the Village of North Palm Beach and hosts 4 honey bee colonies that produce delicious honey that is available for sale in the pro shop.
